Bethanie Put on the Ritz!
Last Friday night PCEC was overrun with gangsters, flappers, molls and dolls in celebration of Bethanie’s first annual staff award and recognition night.
Our whole team held our breath as guests crossed from the theatre into the ‘backstage’ – gasps of surprise, ohs and ahs abounded with the excitement palpable as all guests came up onto stage and then stepped through into Bethanie’s Ritz.
After months of planning guests had a blast exploring individually themed areas where they could experience different times from the 1920/30s. Areas included the Great Gatsby, the Ritz, Shanghai Teahouse at the Ritz and Stage Door at the Ritz.
With Perth’s own Charlie Chaplin and MC Pip O’Connell directing formalities, the audience was awash with raucous laughter. All staff and volunteers in attendance embraced the awards with each winner bringing the house down. With Charleston dancers, jazz bands, DJs and rock bands the dance floor was humming from the moment it opened until the clock struck midnight.
We are so pleased to have been able to bring such an exciting and enjoyable event to the well deserving staff at Bethanie. Here’s some great feedback from some of the guests:
“As far as this sort of event, it was one of the best and most professionally organised ones that I have been to. The organising, timing, food, venue and entertainment were exceptional and very appropriate. My compliments and praise to you and your team involved in this outstanding event. My perception was that a great time was had by all and the success of this event should provide a strong basis to further foster cultural improvement across Bethanie.”
Robert Spencer, Chief Development Officer.
“I would like to personally thank each and every one of you for your contribution to making the Bethanie Ball an outstanding success. I have been to a few balls now and I personally rated the Awards and Ball one of the best I have ever been to.”
Stephen Becsi, Chief Executive Officer.
“Please accept my warmest thanks and congratulations to all those involved in organising such a successful night. On the way home last night, everyone was talking about the next one!”
Laurette LeCras, Employee of the Year 2012
“Well, what can I say??? – you did a SPECTACULAR job – thank you sooooooooo much – The dance floor was never empty and the food and drink kept going pretty much all night – there is nothing you could have done better – OUTSTANDING.”
Tracey Russon, committee member.
