One of the things I love most about travelling is the opportunity to sample the local cuisine, and in New York City, there is a smorgasbord of choice – no matter what your budget.

If you are looking for an upmarket dining experience, my choice has to be Del Posto for some great Italian cuisine. Or for impressive fine dining, try Jean-Georges – let’s face it, when you go to a restaurant in the Trump International Hotel and Tower, you expect to be impressed.  Both restaurants are three-star Michelin.

My best tip if you want to try these restaurants for yourself is to go at lunchtime. You will get some of the best quality food you have ever eaten without breaking the bank. In fact, you can treat yourself to a wonderful lunch for under $50.
